He is the sole author of  #1 best-selling book LASER SCANNERS, and is co-author of the best-selling books Game Changers, Win, and The Success Secret. Benner has also been featured on NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX television affiliates.

Beyond his work at Pangolin, Benner holds the highest class of Amateur Radio license (callsign N4WRB) and has also served on several boards as well as serving for seven years as ILDA’s Technical Committee Chairman. He also contributed expertise to outside companies including Bliss Lights, Cambridge Technologies, RMB Miniature Bearings and many others.

In 2012, Benner started a division of Pangolin called ScannerMAX, dedicated to the development, licensing and manufacture of three new types of galvanometer-based optical scanners, which deliver state-of-the-art performance at the lowest possible price.

BillHossein Safamehr

Hossein Safamehr holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Control Engineering. His academic research focused on advanced control techniques for electromechanical and power electronic systems, with particular emphasis on motor control and the control of grid-forming and grid-following inverters. His work investigated the application of digital robust and adaptive control methodologies to improve system stability, dynamic performance, and resilience under parameter variations and operating uncertainties. He has authored multiple publications in IEEE journals and conference proceedings and is the inventor of patented technologies in related fields.

Motivated by a strong interest in translating control theory into practical engineering solutions, he has been engaged in the research and development of innovative industrial technologies since 2016. His work spans motion control systems, industrial automation, intelligent monitoring and diagnostic systems, embedded control, power electronics, and precision electromechanical instrumentation.Since 2023, he has been engaged with Pangolin Laser Systems Inc., contributing to the analysis, evaluation, and development of advanced technologies for high-performance precision motion systems.

His current research interests include precision motion control, advanced motor control, power electronics, embedded control architectures, and the application of robust and adaptive control techniques to high-performance electromechanical systems.
